Anesthesiologist | Black Hills Surgical Hospital | Rapid City, SD
Team, Rooms and Care Model:
- Two anesthesiologists supported by seventeen CRNAs
- Eleven operating rooms
- Care team supervision model
- Dedicated block nurse utilizing state-of-the-art GE ultrasound systems for regional anesthesia
Volumes, Style and Call:
- Approximately 6,000 regional anesthesia blocks annually
- Clinical oversight of the pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia care units (PACU)
- Collaboration with a dedicated pre-anesthesia testing (PAMI) clinic to optimize patients prior to surgery
- Close collaboration with surgeons and nursing teams for complex patient management and safe anesthetic delivery
- Strong work-life balance with flexible shifts and minimal weekend engagement
- Call: 1:14
Compensation Package:
- Base floor of $575,000 for 1.0 FTE shift requirement
- $150,000 retention incentive payable after 3 years of continuous 1.0 FTE employment (subject to contract terms)
