Physician - Anesthesiology - West Michigan opportunity in Grand Rapids and Muskegon, Michigan

Mercy Health Physician Partners (MHPP) is seeking a full time, or part time (prorated on call), Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our anesthesia team located in Muskegon, Michigan.

The physician will join a professional, confident and friendly team of 25 physicians. We practice a care team model, providing medical direction over CRNAs. However, there is still an opportunity to personally perform anesthesia. We cover a range of cases including orthopedic (elective + trauma), gynecology, ENT, complex vascular, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology including also EP and structural heat, and full scope cardiothoracic cases. We also provide anesthesia support to our patients in radiology. We have a full obstetrical practice with plenty of epidural opportunities.

Mercy Health Muskegon is a brand new (completed in 2020) state of the art hospital which is designated as a Level 2 trauma center and has 20 operating rooms, 5 heart and vascular rooms, 6 endoscopy rooms and 2 C-section suites. We have dedicated time to improving the efficiency of the OR and the quality of care for our patients. We are currently working on the roll out of our Surgical Optimization Service where patients will undergo a consistent and comprehensive review/tune up prior to surgery.

We utilize peripheral nerve blocks and advanced regional techniques to reach enhanced recovery goals with our surgical colleagues. Candidates are expected to be proficient or will be trained to perform many of the basic peripheral nerve blocks (e.g. popliteal, saphenous, adductor canal, erector spinae, TAP, brachial plexus blocks etc.)

Call and holidays are shared among the group in a manner that creates individual hourly and compensation flexibility.

Physicians must be Board Certified in their specialty within five years of completion of residency. A State of Michigan license is required at the time of employment, along with a DEA license and ACLS and BLS certifications.
