The Division of Anesthesiology at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City seeks a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist to join our Cardiac Anesthesiology section. Applicants will be joining a vibrant hospital department encompassing in total over 170 anesthesiologists, critical care intensivists, CRNAs, AAs, Anesthesia Residents, and Advanced Practice Providers throughout the system.


About the position

• CVOR full-time position with operations such as heart transplants, liver transplants, placement of mechanical circulatory support including LVADs, aortic reconstruction, TAVR, structural heart, CABG, valves, esophageal surgery, complex thoracic and major vascular cases
• The cardiology and heart surgery program at Mid America Heart Institute (MAHI) is ranked one of the top programs in the nation, performing over 1600 cardiothoracic, vascular and hybrid procedures yearly
• Faculty exclusively concentrate their clinical efforts in the CVOR arena in MAHI, part of a freestanding clinical center within Saint Luke's Hospital.
• Research involvement with members of the Outcomes/Research Division of MAHI is available if desired
• Anesthesia residency program comprised of 8 residents per year, with senior residents rotating through CV surgery
