Saint Luke’s Physician Group is searching for qualified BC/BE anesthesiologists to help with expanding our Main Operating Room (MOR) team at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. Applicants will be joining a vibrant hospital department encompassing in total over 170 anesthesiologists, critical care intensivists, CRNAs, AAs, Anesthesia Residents, and Advanced Practice Providers throughout the system.


About the position

• Full-time position covering MOR cases such as general, ortho, robotic thoracic, ENT, OB/GYN, urology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, GI lab, kidney transplants and OOOR procedures
• Hearts, major vascular, liver transplantation and CV lab are done by a separate cardiac team
• Applicants with fellowship training strongly encouraged to apply; For those with regional anesthesia training, we have openings on our Acute Pain Service
• Collaborative care team model using medical direction 1:2 or 1:3; Physicians personally provide anesthesia on an infrequent basis
• In-house call shift is 4p-7a with post call day off, weekends are split shifts; Call team is comprised of a mix of residents and CRNAs/AA’s; Backup team of physician/anesthetist on backup call
• Physician-led organization and our physicians have the opportunity for faculty appointment through University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC)
• Anesthesia residency program comprised of 18 Residents in addition to 7 interns with the program expanding to 32 total residents

• Prospective candidates must have either 1-3 years of dedicated experience in general anesthesiology and/or be in the process of, or recently graduated from, both accredited and approved ACGME anesthesiology residency
